Saburō is best known for his many woodblock pictures of rural Japan but he also made more than thirty woodblock prints which included flowers and (or) birds. Thirty-seven examples are shown below. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Some pictures included only flowers while others also included landscape elements. He drew flower shapes in a true-to-life way but simplified their surface features and colors.
